Among the most important tools that application developers need are those which provide application debugging information. Finding the right tool can be difficult when trying to enable logging. ConfD provides application developers with many tools including the generation of many log files. These log files provide information on processing that occurs within the ConfD server daemon process.
This technical application note presents a simple application logging framework called traceh.h which provides an easy way to enable logging in ConfD C and C++ applications. Additionally, you will see examples of ConfD along with a YANG data model being used to dynamically control and examine the state of the application logging framework at runtime.
