Hi Friend,

Our last app note provided a step-by-step migration planConfD CDB Synch with Legacy Systems Image.jpg to add support for NETCONF and RESTCONF to a legacy network element. Our latest App Note builds upon this and covers how ConfD can be introduced alongside the existing legacy management infrastructure and synchronized with CDB, so that both will always have the same view of the configuration.

The “ConfD CDB Sync with Legacy Systems” App Note lays out how transaction support is built right into ConfD’s core and how it can effectively be utilized to extend the ACID transaction properties to a legacy database with legacy northbound management interfaces.

Event: Cisco Live 2017

Attending Cisco Live 2017? Don't miss our session: Trends in Network Programmability and NFV on Tuesday, June 27 at 4:00 p.m. PT in the DevNet Zone

SDN and NFV mean having a programmable network. A programmable network requires programmable network elements. As organizations work to take advantage of the benefits of SDN and NFV, they need to understand what network programmability means and how to best achieve it.

The session will examine what a programmable network element is and discuss why the current industry trend is to select the use of NETCONF and YANG to produce programmable network elements.
